Academic Year

Play. Learn. Grow.

Serving Ages 3 to 10 (and Growing)

Curriculum

We are expanding organically, adding a new grade each year until we serve children up to age 12.

Nature School of Fairview provides a unique, nature-based academic curriculum for children in Pre-K through elementary, blending academic learning with hands-on, nature-driven experiences.

Learning in a Natural Environment

We integrate nature into daily learning and prioritize outdoor play and exploration. Our philosophy draws from Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia methods, emphasizing physical, mental, and academic growth for well-rounded child development.

Extracurricular Activities

Students engage in a variety of activities, including yoga, meditation, sensory classes, music and dance, gardening, and robotics, fostering creativity and exploration beyond the core curriculum.

Minimal Technology Use

While we aren’t strictly anti-screen, we focus on nurturing imagination and hands-on engagement. From building forts to exploring muddy puddles, we encourage natural play over screen time.

Experienced, Educated Staff

All our teachers and assistant teachers are either degree-holders or currently completing their studies, ensuring a knowledgeable and nurturing environment for each child.

Inclusive Community

We welcome families from all backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions. Community-building is important to us, with gatherings for students, parents, and families throughout the year, as well as Mommy and Me classes hosted on school grounds.
